History
Zeke’s Daylight Donuts has a proud history in Pleasant Grove. In the 1940’s Clair’s Polar King was constructed. This historic building has seen it’s share of changes over the years. In 1954 the Day family developed their special “light” flour recipe starting the Daylight Donut Flour Company. Then in 1982 Zeke joined the Daylight corporation with the first Daylight Donuts shop in the western United States. Since then Zeke’s Daylight Donuts has added their baking expertise to the Day’s light potato flour, creating a one of a kind donut experience. Zeke’s recipes and love for serving the community have been passed down to his family who have joined the family business. Zeke continues to work every day at the shop ensuring everyone is treated like family. What is Zeke’s life secret? A donut a day and a large serving of generosity.
Donut King
Zeke
A little back ground on Zeke is that he loves sports. He has a passion for baseball and volleyball. While playing for BYU he was invited onto the US Olympic Volleyball team. Led by his love for donuts, he served as a COP for three years. He then worked at Geneva Steel for 18 years. While at Geneva, Zeke and his wife Lorraine started the donut shop. Zeke is driven by his concern for his fellow man. They say you reap what you sow. Those who know Zeke believe this is the source of his charmed life.
